Mississippi Adolescent Center (MAC) is a DMH Program licensed by the MS Department of Health as an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ICF/IID).  MAC offers statewide admission for adolescent males with an IDD.  MAC is a 32-bed facility which consists of three dormitories, Education and Day Service building, Gymnasium, Maintenance Department, and Administration building.  The following services are offered in these settings:  Behavioral, Medical, Social, Educational, Recreational, Nutritional, and specialized therapies (OT, ST, PT).  At Mississippi Adolescent Center our primary goal is to provide comprehensive services to adolescents with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who need a specialized setting in which their behavior, education, and socialization skills are maximized.  The objective is to return the adolescents to their community with the skills and services necessary to lead a productive life.

Mississippi Adolescent also provides crisis support services for adolescents enrolled in the IDD Waiver Program.  While receiving crisis support services at MAC, an interdisciplinary approach is utilized to stabilize the adolescent as quickly as possible so he may return to a community-based setting within 30 days.
